Every school in UK has a team of governors. As a catholic school, we have Foundation Governors who are appointed by Bishop Terence Drainey, Parent governor, Local Authority Governor and Staff Governor. Foundation Governors always have a majority on the Governing Body of a Catholic school.
Governors at St. Charles’ meet regularly (at least once per term) to consider the needs of the school and to ensure that the school always does its best for all the children at the school. They are involved in decisions about how this can be achieved and how to ensure that the building meets the needs of learners and staff.
Governors regularly visit the school to celebrate our success, and to see how staff help children to be the best they can be in every way.
Governance information for St Charles' Voluntary Catholic Academy can be found here.
